MASH began its series on tv, The Maxi and mini dress were popular styles as were the HOT pants, The Datsun 240z hit the scene as a HOT car, Carole King's Tapestry received best record nods. Oakland A's won the World series beating cincinnati Reds, Apollo17 completed the last manned mission to the moon. And for good measure a little girl was born in California
