About half and hours drive from us, is a little strip of beach, where seals come and give birth! We first went last year in the middle of November! We went back today! At today's count there was 1,734 seals born. They come to the top of the strip to give birth and as the pups grow they move down towards the sea until they are big enough to swim away! I took over 300 shots and it was sure hard to pick out one!!! There is a little fence that fences you off from the seals, they are literally in touching distance, but if you want to keep your hand intact, don't the mama's are VERY proctective of their babies!!! I have included some extra photos, one to show how close, and two giving you the idea of how small the strip of land is and how many seals were there!!! When we went in Nov last year there was a lot more seals, it is coming towards the end of the season, will have to go sooner next year!
