Beautiful cat! We had the same 'problem' here at the house! I also just found out that calico cats are females too! We were told this when we found Minnie the kitten! he vet explained that it is a genetic thing with cats!

Very cute kitty :) We've had the opposite situation - three times! "Little David" (B&W kitty) was nick-named "Deeve" when we discovered "he" was a "she." A sleek, black kitten we believed to be a male was named "Sebastian," but nick-named "Runt" because he was so tiny -- we kept the nick-name after discovering her true gender. Finally, when I was a young girl, my parents bought two parakeets, intending to mate them. Once a month, "Lucky & Lucy" were tucked into a nesting box and placed on the top shelf in a closet (per pet store instructions) in order to produce fertilized eggs. My folks tried this for years, but with no results. Finally, one day - years after "Lucky" had passed on - I was reading up on parakeets and found out that "Lucy" was actually a male -- we had been early proponants of "same s-x" marriage!!! We felt sooo badly (and no, I definitely DO NOT promote that now) for poor "Lucy" but got several good laughs out of it :D Sorry so long-winded... Cute shot and story - TFS :) -- kimB

I had a male calico when I was a child - and was told they were rare, too! He was pretty special! Tommy Boy is very pretty (does she KNOW she's a girl?)
