Very nice lo! #1 the photo is great, #2 love the pp & stitching, #3 those stickers @ the top are to cool, & # 4 LOVE those flowers & buttons!!! Great job!
I really like the bright colours and the flowers seperating the papers look great. I really like the stiching/doodles at the bottom they are a really fun touch. I think it would look better if you matt the photo in white as it will make it pop from the pp and may get the focus away from the stickers. It will also make reading the journaling easier. I dont mind the word stickers but I think they do not work with the pink stickers. Out of intrest what is an 'ute'?
Funny- I like the pink stickers at the top. I've not seen them used as a border like that before. I also like the typed brown word stickers which balance all the funky-frilly words of the paper below. I find the use of the soft flowers a balance for the same color hard pink squares. I usually matte my focal photo but I'm not sure it's necessary here.,,perhaps because of the pink and blue in the photo and the same color stripes or maybe because there's only one photo (and I usually have tons on my layouts and need to identify a focal point). If I did matte it, it might be cute for the journaling to be done on the computer but still around the photo on the matte.
Hi Becky!! This is a nice girly layout. I like the colors and the patterned paper that you used. I also really like the flowers. I think that the square stickers are a bit distracting. This is a cute pic and a lot of fun!!! I have to ask...what is an ute??
Becky, this is a fun lo. I like the pps, the flowers, and the journaling around the photo. The stitching is fab! I also love the color and font of "Sisters." First, you mentioned you don't like the brown stickers. I do think they make the page too wordy, but since they're stuck down--do you have more of that striped pp? You can cut off that section with the brown stickers, take the leftover striped pp, cut a strip of it in a thicker width, and glue it behind the pink dimensional stickers so that the seam doesn't show. About those dimensional stickers, they do draw attention away from the photo, and I probably would've used less. I'm also with the others on matting the photo to make the journaling more visible. Finally, I would've liked to see that green Sisters on an oval mat, just to give it more time in the spotlight since it is the title of the page.
Love the pp here, you capture a really fun feel on this LO. Like Melissa, I do like the brown stickers on top but not w/ the pink stickers. I visual those pink stickers scattered around in the spaces above to the side of the photo, bring the focus down to & around the photo. Also, a pale cream or pink matte around the photo would be great, so we could read the journaling more easily, as Moi pointed out. I love the fun & girly-ness you convey here!
Hi Becky. Love the combo of the pps! Also great stitching! I like the stickers at the top. I think you can mat the photo in white or cream and write the journaling on the mat. Fun lo!
Great use of PP here. Love love love that stitching... Suggestions... I do like the brown stickers at the top, but I think that I would prefer them be alone and not paired with the pink stickers. I think the pink stickers over power them and really could have been put to better use elsewhere on the LO.
I love the flowers and the swirls! Great job. I also do agree that the brown stickers are out of place at the top (but since they're already stuck down...LOL) , other than that though, great job on this page!
Hi Becky. Func olors used on this layout and I love the texture of the handsewed swirls. I also like the word stickers but I feeel that they're getting lost on top of the page. I would place them on the photo vertically in that space beside the lady in the black tank top. Then it would guide my eye up and down the page.
Great job at combining patterned papers. I would have put the dimensional stickers directly underneat the photo because that would duide my eye to the photo instead of the top of the page!
