Every time I score like that on white paper I can never get mine to show up. Love the look I just can't seem to duplicate it! Oh now I have to see if I have any of those flowers....they are perfect with that shiny paper!
I agree that this is stunning. I love that handkerchief technique. Just a few simple scored lines that make it look so professional. Love the mirror cardstock you used for your beautiful leaves and mat. I had to giggle at your explanation of buying the jeweled piece. That's something I would do but would never find the right spot for it on a project. It couldn't be more perfect for this card. Such a sophisticated, totally classy card. Your stamped sentiment with the die cut "fabulous" is just that...fabulous. Simply amazing card.
This is quite beautiful and a different style for you. It is amazing that you switch from one style to another and make it work perfectly. Love the contrast of black and white and silver with the gorgeous amber jewel. Stunning creation.
This is just beautiful. I really love how you highlighted the edge of the leaves. And the line scoring is a unique and nice added design feature. Of course the jeweled flower is perfect.
You may have noticed that I love adding sparkle, shine and bling to my cards :) When March's Inspirational Card Challenge called for 'something shiny' in the product category, I knew this was right up my alley. These jeweled flowers were an impulse buy that once I really sat down to think about it, I wasn't quite sure how to use them on a card. Oops! They've been sitting in my stash for over a year just waiting for the right project and this was it! I decided to lift a card I had been saving in my favorites (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/52424783135367669/). It's definitely more of a CAS style than my usual work but I thought that the design was perfect to highlight the jeweled flower. The designer, Vicky Hayes, uses "the handkerchief" technique, a series of scored lines that intersect near the corner and look like the stitching on a handkerchief. The black and white paper is from DCWV. I cut my matting and leaves from silver mirror cardstock.
