Wow, THIS. IS. INCREDIBLE! I do really feel like I've just been on a trip around the world! I can't imagine the hours that went into this, but it's absolutely breathtaking and so, so fabulous! This would also make for such a wonderful and interactive kiddo cube - teaching about different parts of the world. Love this so much, LC!!
Your trip around the world is seriously fabulous! Your explosion box card (which I have never heard of before I started searching scrapbook.com) is soooooooooo creative, cool, and absolutely adorable. I love everything about it and am really fascinated!! Every time I look at it I see something that I didn't see before. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talents with all of us!!!!!
I can't even pick a favorite. So cute. Maybe the penguin or the monkey, no the koala and the kangaroo. I hope your dreams come true. I have only been to 3 continents. Hoping to travel more. It is adorable.
Stunning again you should design for Doodlebug. I hope your dreams come true and you see all 7 continents. These little creatures are delightful and I can't belive they fold up into a cute box.
Oh my gosh, LC!!! That is just DARLING!!!!! When I first saw it, I thought it might be a pocket letter, which you could do very easily!! Thanks for sharing this adorable creation!!
Ohh my gosh. This is just unbelievably adorable. Every square is a work of art all on its own. And I absolutely love the way you did different continents. So inspiring.
The bonus category in July's Inspirational Card Challenge is travel and Karen, our awesome challenge hostess, added the instruction " let your imagination run wild!". I decided to take the wild part literally and created an explosion box card featuring critters from various Doodlebug design collections.
My dream is to travel to all 7 continents and I wanted to represent that with this card. Since I needed at least 7 sections, instead of cutting the corner pieces off, as is the design of most explosion box cards, I left them on. (Scoring and a few cuts between the sections allows them to be folded up.) I created scenes for each of the continents, starting in the upper left corner is Africa with a lion and giraffe. Next is Antarctica with a cutie penguin and baby seal. On to Asia with the sweet panda. Then Australia with a kangaroo and a koala. Two reindeer represent Europe. A camping scene with a brown bear and a beaver for North America. Last but not least is South America with a monkey and colorful parrot. I had an extra section left over to which I added a tag with the sentiment 'adventure awaits' and a fun toucan. In the center, I propped up a few more animals in front of a die cut globe and added a sentiment sticker.
I hope you enjoyed this trip around the world. Thank you so very much for your kindness! I appreciate it more than I can say!
