I have to say....one of the best heritage LO I have seen. You nailed the perfect 40's bg paper and the flowers are wonderful. I like how you offset the photo on the matting. The inking realy did give the feeling of vintage!
A layout of a picture of my sweet MIL when she was 16 or 17 years old, back in 1943 or 1944. I handmade most the flowers. The pinkish roses were made out of coffee filters using the rolled flower technique (using several layers of filter at one time) and sprayed with me-made glimmer spray. The beige lollipop flowers were made out of tulle and I melted the edges and inked with distress ink. The frame is chipboard and I painted it with acrylic paint with pearlizing medium (wish you could see the shimmer on it, looks like Mother of Pearl almost!) and then I hit with some Tea Dye distress ink. On the tag with the title, I stamped clocks as a background, then stamped the title. The butterfly is also a stamp and cut with a Cuttlebug postage stamp die. This is for the September Heritage challenge. TFL!
