Reception week is the first week the SITs (soldiers in training ) arrive at their training base. From the moment they arrive their Drill Sergeants are waiting for them once the bus comes to a stop. There is no time for horse play as there are a million things to get done in a short amount of time. Oh, don't forget to "Hurry up and wait" during this process. Family is instructed "No news is good news". This is the hardest thing to learn. Sometime once the SITS arrive, they will get a sort 2 second "Hi Mom, I have arrived". At the end of week 1 I was blessed to receive a call early Saturday morning after you guys finished reception and while you were waiting on your unit to pick you up. For the next 9 weeks you will be training and learning how to be a solider~ Can't wait to hear from you and see you.
