wow this is truly beautiful and certainly touched me with your tribute to the Anzacs. Love it all and you did a great job getting messy. Love the timber BG and how your replicated the beach line.
OMGosh, Vija! I love your messy style! This is absolutely beautiful! Love your photos, flowers, great textures and, most of all, the sentiment behind this lo. Great job!
I love your "messy" style!!! I struggle with being like that myself, but you seem to have mastered it beautifully!!!! What a special tribute to the people of you country and the sacrifices they made. Beautiful work!!!!
Wow! What a fabulous job you did to honor the service men and women! It's a gorgeous layout! Love the textures, flowers, cheesecloth, burlap and chippies. Such a lovely work of art! Great photos too.
Your like me, I'm also not comfortable with the full mixed media thing which so often is messy, with the exception of the artists that excel at it and I'm not clever enough to make my pages look like they do, but I'm giving it a go also. But hey you've done a great job, nice technique and perfect for this photo, really love this page and your style.
WOWZA Vija! This is such a stunning and absolutely gorgeous page! I love the emotion that you put into your amazing work of art. I also love how you used some messy techniques here, too! And honoring the ones who lost their lives in Gallipoli is such a wonderful thing to do, Vija. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us.
Wow this took my breath away it's such an innovative and inspirational a page, the title says it all. You have scrapped the wonderful photos in a great design with details that are fabulous and I realise that's not easy .Just perfect Vija.
oh my goodness Vija, this is absolutely stunning. you have created an amazing tribute to the military personnel who lost their lives at Gallipoli as well as preserving the memory of your trip. I love the "messy" textures and your beautiful flowers. One would never know that you stepped outside your comfort zone.
Stunning page! Funny, when I saw the sunburst stencil I wasn't sure how to use it but seeing it used in your work I see that stencil in a whole new light!! Gorgeous!! xo
I created this layout to commemorate ANZAC day which is a day of remembrance here in Australia as well as New Zealand, to honour our service men and women. Originally 25 April every year was to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli during World War I. The Allied casualties included 21,255 from the United Kingdom, an estimated 10,000 dead soldiers from France, 8,709 from Australia, 2,721 from New Zealand, and 1,358 from British India. It has been a life long dream of my DH to visits the war sites and cemeteries at Gallipoli and in particular find and photograph the headstones of family members who perished in the war from his small home town so they can be documented and more importantly shared with family that will never be able to visit their loved ones graves. We made the journey in 2012 to Gallipoli in Turkey and it will be one that neither one of us will ever forget.
I'm not comfortable with being intentionally 'messy' in my scrapbooking but I still like giving different styles a go and this is my attempt to be a bit more 'creative'. I even went as far as making some of the flowers! LOL
