The mother of my maternal grandmother, Pearlie was one of the most amazing women I ever had the privledge knowing. She was the one of the most magnetic people around, and it was certainly clear at her passing. I have never seen so many people!
She was special, not only because she was my great-grandmother, but because she was involved in ALL of the lives of her family, as much as she could be. She had a part in raising grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, and even some that were not even related. There was always an empty plate waiting for 'unexpected' company, and there was never a time that she was 'too sick' to see people or 'too tired' to bring them in.
I really got to know her during her later years, and am so blessed that I had the chance. I thank God everyday that she was in my life, and I am proud to call her my great-grandmother.
This is a very special 12x12 entry. She is sitting with one of her great-grandchildren posted on her lap.
