Brenda, I love this 2 pager. I can't believe how many photos of different shapes and sizes you fit in. I love the rounded corners and I am totally digging the numbering that relates to the journaling. Very cool. I am also in love with that straw hat. So perfect. It makes a beautiful shadow, as well. I love the colors and pictures. Fabulous!
Oh this is nice. The yellow is the perfect touch and I love the numbering system with the journaling. The title is catchy and the photos are cool. The rounded edges are an extra touch that push this layout to be really great.
What rocks this layout is the photo arrangement *and* the rounded-off edges on them; LOVE that! Your bg paper choice pops the blue in all the photos. I just love it...and, nope, doesn't need a drop of ink *or* a cricut. My absolute fave part is on the bottom-left where the photos really have a sense of cohesive motion from one to the next; I almost want to say like a flip-book feel.
Brenda, this is fabulous! Love the use & placement of many photos - the fact that you enlarged the pic of you guys, w/ all these little pics, really gives that feeling of experiences various sights & whatnot as you strolled. Also love how you did the title (The SOB, snort!) & the street-y feel you created w/ the white lines, cones & varying looks of the letters in "stroll." The fact that you didn't use your Cricut or inking is impressive & a cool departure. Super 2 pager!
I love it! I think one of my favorite things about this LO is 1)the photo of your straw hat self shadow, 2) the multiple photos, 3) the photo on page 2 of the hood ornament. For some reason that photo really holds my attention. As usual, your journaling rocks and I totally love the street stripes...great original idea.
Great use of multiple pics! I love the numbering with the pics. The color choice works really well also. The stripes are just enough to keep the eye moving. Very nice lo overall!
This is amazing! Great way to use so many photos! Love the rounded corners, the yellow strips, the numbered photos, the cones-everything! The only thing here for me is the white stripes between the photos-I get the idea of the road look, but I think you can use white pen and draw the same kind of line between the photos, so it's not so distracting. Looks like you 3 had amazing time! Love the photo with the hats and the one with the shadow! Great!
This is an awesome two-pager, even with doing it extremely quick! I love how everything has a meaning. THe old english font, because of a guy down there's tattoo. I love the sketch you used on this as well.. and how you turned it for each page. It fits all of the pictures wonderfully. Awesome 2-pager.
This is the two page spread for the SHCG Weeks #34-36 WC which was to create a lo, any lo, to keep the momentum going within our CG. I decided to create a spread based on a simple sketch of twenty pictures taken on the same day the WC was due. As a result I had to keep it simple, and I'm happy that I actually scrapped something so soon after the fact. It was cheap, too. I got the stickers at Dollar Tree and the grey cs was 5 for $1 at Michael's. I didn'tt use my Cricut either, nor any inking this time! The Olde English part of the title was inspired by a stroller who had the abbreviation of the city tattooed across half of his chest. I thought it was funny because it can also be read as "The S.O.B." Anyway, I also chose this multi-photo format condensed into two pages, because, other than the photos with us in them, we had no personal ties to the subjects; thus, I didn't want to give them as much time and attention spread out across pages in an album. I thought our family photo enlarged as a 5x7 surrounded by miscellaneous stroll pics, and the classic cars highlighted by the hood ornament 5x7 conveyed what I tried to accomplish--a quick lo for a short stroll. The scan 'n' stitch job cut off the left and right sides of both pages.
Journaling on left page reads: Sunday, September 16, 2007 - Every year El Sobrante closes street access on San Pablo Dam Road between Appian Way & El Portal for its annual street fair. It is not, by far, the most happening of events, but people do attend. In the half hour that it took us to wander down the street and back, we scored free hats from Costume Corner, watched BMX bikers do stunts on ramps, listened to Downtown Rhythms perform 70s covers, and ogled a collection of classic cars.
Journaling on right page reads: 1 193? Ford 2 1972 Oldsmobile 3 1934 Ford 4 1985 Lamborghini, definitely a “work in progress” 5 - 6 1965 Mustang for sale complete with Betty Boop decals 7 Downtown Rhythms 8 Big guy on a little bike 9 Mary, as a 1933 Plymouth human head ornament
