SHCG: I think this is one prefect lo! I love all the personal touches with so much meaning behind them! I also love the use of the fork and spoon and knife! Seems like you had a great time celebrating and the lo is a nice reminder of that day! I don't have any suggestions, I like it the way it is!
SHCG: This is super cool... I love how you incorporated meaning into every aspect of the pages. I really like the way you used the knife and fork in thirty; very cute. Awesome as is... go forth and adhere! :)
SHCG - Fabulous multi-pic LO! I love how your colors echo the restaurant's scheme. Lovely border punch. Great using restaurant tabs & adorable using that knife & fork (spoon too)!! You guys are such a CUTE bunch. And your eats sound to-die-for delectable. My only note is that I'm confused by something you said in the right journaling block - since you mention 2 different days (& have 2 different cool sub-titles) I momentarily thought these pages represented the 2 different days/meals you mention, until I saw that you were wearing the same clothes on both sides! So I guess I'd want journaling clarification on the 2 different days (you're referring to a separate earlier/later meal out, I guess?). But journaling-confusion aside, awesome job! Love that you captured such special moments & memories in this MC response!
shcg: i love how you have so much symbolism in your lo and how you've made little nods to the designs at the restaurant in your paper choices, etc. LOVE the title block!
SHCG: I really enjoyed how you incorporated pieces of the restaurant into the LO. The colors are a perfect match to the decor. The knife and fork in the title are great, and I love the bottom border. I like how you used an order ticket for journaling, especially for the menu (yumm-o by the way). I like how you matted the two photos but I would like to see some inking around the photos to help them pop out a bit more, either a brown or even a blue to tie it in a bit better. It looks like you had a fun time and the food looks great.
SHCG: Really great take on the ch!! Yayy "m so happy someone scrapped a response to it lol. I like how you've included the menu as one of the journaling spots that's really creative! I realy like how your details on the page like the lace borfer and the tilted 'o' reflect on memoriws of that day. I also really like how you've used the spoon and fork in the title!
I am currently taking suggestions and critiques for this two-page lo. This might be my response to SHCG's newish blog feature, Monthly Challenge (MC) #3 posted by Ammara, which is to scrap a favorite summer vacation memory with at least 3 journaling spots. While it technically wasn't a vacation, it was a day off for me.
All stickers will be flat once this spread is ready for the scrapbook. The only pieces that are adhered are the tan strip and the lace border at the bottom. (Lovin' this beautiful punch, btw.) They are a nod to the rail in the pictures and the doilies on our plates. The wood mats are from DCWV's The Lodge stack which are also a nod to the wood trim in the bg of the pics.
I did the journaling on restaurant tab pieces. The one with the menu list will also contain a rubon date.
The restaurant alphas are a little crowded, which is why I usesd the spoon as a divider, but that is the smallest setting for that Cricut font. The O is purposefully tilted because that's the way it appears on the restaurant's logo.
The sun and moon are symbols of my schrub and seester that had a specific meaning to me on our way to the restaurant.
I will be shading the oval on the right to look more like a saucer (which is from the From My Kitchen Cricut cart), and I chose green numbers to represent a parsley garnish. I thought it'd be cute to substitute a knife for the I and fork for the Y. None of the stickers are fully adhered which is why they all look crooked right now.
I will be inking the white mats in brown of the two 4x6 focal pics which are triple matted, yet another nod to the bg (note the framed art on the walls).
