This is the ONLY picture I have of my nephew smiling at me and I just love it! He usually just turns away when I point a camera at him.
It's hard to tell in the photo but I painted the staples to match the papers and the heart shaped embellies are actually made up of a couple of pieces from the Queen & Co. bold sequins set. I was just playing with the pieces to see what shapes I could come up with. I used those pieces (put together as a heart) as a holder for the hocus pocus definition. You also can't see in the photo that I used the Zig marker to color around the edges of all the tags I made. There is also a stamped image on the hocus pocus definition. I used the zig marker to color the stamp. If you look hard you can see it.
Journaling in upper left corner is the defn. for hocus pocus and says " Hocus Pocus n. 1. meaningless words used as formula by conjurers 2. any meaningless action or talk drawing attention away from some deception; to trick" The tags going down the right side read "This is my nephew, he's as cute as can be. Though often too shy, he doesn't smile at me. But with camera in hand, and lens all in focus I called out his name, and then hocus pocus.....He smiled at me!" The tag at the bottom says " Do your part to make this world a cuter place to live in" by Susan Branch. I love that!! That quote is just perfect with that smile :)
