Oh my goodness! I could go on forever on this subject. I had a pit bull named Suge (as in Sugar) and he was the sweetest, loveable (a little hyper), and smart dog. I hated hearing all the misinformation about them. And worse yet, they are trying to ban them in my county :(. Thanks for loving these sweet creatures!
I LOVE YOU!!! I volunteer at an animal shelter, and I can tell you that the 'vicious' pit bull junk IS INDEED the owner! Dog fighting is something that absolutely disgusts me. I've written lots of letters to nearby city councils around my city to tell them that pit bull bans will not solve problems. What a great LO!...I'm adding this to my favorites :-D
I'm glad you made this layout. How true it is. My dd also has a pit and she would'nt kill or hurt an ant. She'd lick you to death. Unfortunately they have gotten a bad rap. Love the layout :)
Awesome LO! I totally agree with your words, more people need to believe this! People are always nervous of my Riley. But he is the sweetest most gentlest dog around! Adding to my favs!
Totally love the pup and the lo. Your words are soooo true. I fell in love with these unfairly stereotyped guys/gals while helping at a rescue site following Hurricane Katrina. Thanks for putting into your art a message that needs to be heard.
I work at a vet clinic and I have seen wonderful sweet pit bulls and horrible tragedies... I agree that the owner plays a crucial role and not everyone, even well-meaning, is up to the challenge. I can see the personality in this picture and I'm sure he's a sweet dog! Great LO!
Great LO....I agree, it is not the dog it is the owner. Our neighbor had to have theirs put down after it attacked repeatedly but it was because he was a total arse.
I love this LO and the subject it is about. Some dogs can be more aggressive based on breed...but really its all in how you raise & treat the dog. ADORABLE POOCHY!!!
THIS is great!!!!!!!!! I have two American Pit Bull Terriers, one wasn't enough,LOL....I totaly agree. I have my dogs in some kind of training classes all the time. Its good for socializing the dogs and myself. My boy has 8 diplomas so far and they are wanting to train him for a therapy dog if I can find the time.
Agree immensely. the same thing is said over and over again about Rott's too. my dil's father has 3 and my dgs plays with them all the time. these dogs love him dearly and wouldn't harm him any sooner than my own Aussie. raised in a loving family, these dogs are saints!
Too true! If you love your dog and treat them well, it doesn't matter which breed they are, they will turn out well. Love the layout and give him a big pat for being so good posing for such an adorable photo!
What most fail to remember is that EVERY dog has the capability to do things pitbulls have been made famous for. They just don't get the publicity when it happens (more frequently, I might add). This is an amazingly adorable LO. Great job!
I know, I know, controversial subject...but here it goes. One day my oldest daughter announced she was getting a Pit Bull. I can assure you I was loud and long with my talks with her telling her NO WAY! Pits are dangerous dogs. Then 2 days later she walked in with Scrappy. My heart melted. I fell in love with this darling intelligent dog. I let my ignorance of the breed close my mind and I could of lost out on such a fun loving relationship. Scrappy came into my life when my beloved dane Zorro died and he replaced my tears with smiles. So all I can say is....don't hate. (This is all written behind the picture)
