SHCG - Love this, Denitza! I get such a feel of the "calm after the storm" from your journaling. Freewriting is awesomely cathartic & you rule for scrapping this journaling. Terrific color palette. Love so much about this & how it reflects who YOU are - the nail polished-brads, the bits of fabric, the DOODLING (w/ the dialogue bubble & vamp-fangs)... Also nice to see the handmade paper circles incorporated here. Wonderful artistry, Dee! Glad you got these moments of being a perfect number of 4 after the visit. :)
SHCG: I love this page! Great doodling! The only ting I would change is make the purple dots either a dustier colour purple or distress them in some way.....Great lo!
SHCG: Great artistc page! First of all I love the color combo and the way you did the ttle. There is so much texture here from the paper to the fabric to the stitching! Your brads also look amazing I may have to lift that idea.
SHCG:Girl u are an awesome doodler!!! This is awesome! Esp the doodle vamp smiley:) I like the journaling too! Nail polish on the brads was a great idea!!
SHCG: Wowzers! I really enjoy this LO. It looks like the hair color on the piece under the doodling page, correct? The doodles are great and I am sure you vented your frustrations out while doodling them. Love the Vamp fangs (Eric inspired?) The fabric pieces are aweome and I love the sewing. The journal paper is great all crumpled up and the prose in amazing. I like the dot theme all around. Using the nail polish to cover the brads, what an awesome idea! Enjoy your peace and quiet!
SHCG: I just wanna give you a big hug, because their visit prompted you to unleash creative madness! That's what I love most about this page. It comes through in your doodling, journaling, crumpling, and general splotchiness. Yet, the color palette you used also suggests you are in a less stressful, relaxed state now. I love that you used blue nail polish to alter the brad color after using it on your toes. The bottom brad looks like an eye, which adds to the madness. In fact, I like that result so much I want to see you do the same by adding one more to the pair right above the ribbon knot. Very cool that you used muslin fabric and applied a rubon date. (This date became a mad day for me, too, btw.) I love the stitching, and the doodled dots at the corner of the ribbon, but I also like the look of things in threes, so I just wanna see one more dot added to the doodled pair. Spell check: 5th line-peeking, and 6th line from bottom-dinners & wrong. Did you stain the journaling? I see faint stains and love it. Your reference to the queen cracks me up. So cute that you have a vampire smiley, and is that you on the right? I love that you used purple as a nod to your rebel dye job, which I bet looks fabulous along with your green flip flops and blue toe nails! A hug for the rebel side of you. Another one for the patient side of you. And one more for the survivor in you! Enjoy the rest of the summer!
This one was done 2 days after the ILs left town from a month visit. The brads were gold and I painted then with blue nail polish. The title was done with linen and AC rub ons. The rurple circles were cut out from a hand made paper that Sharon sent me a long time ago-Thanks, sweets! I also used some fabric scraps for the border. TFL!
