What a touching story; it gave me goosebumps. I remember what my father went through with his horrible COPD. He developed lung cancer and died in 1980. I admire your courage and strong will; you've created such a powerful LO. I am sincerely so sorry for what you are going through and hope you are feeling better. Thank you for your sharing.
Glenda, you are telling it well. As you know, i too have COPD and suffer the many trials that come with it. I prayed for you when you were in the hospital, knowing how miserable it is.
Put this out there Glenda, show it around, if only one person heeds the warning, then you have done a great service.
Blessed be Glenda.
And I too am sorry for what you have to go through, and sorry to hear you were in the hospital. Your layout makes me glad that I never started smoking and thankful that my dear dil stopped. (it was very hard for her). Very powerful pictures and message here.
Amazing layout Glenda! It's an important message to get across and you're very brave for not only doing this layout but for dealing with what you're dealing with.
Oh sweetie...wow, I'm so sorry for what you're going through...I can totally understand your passion for wanting to spread how dangerous smoking is. I am the same way with drinking...my dad was an alcoholic, he started drinking when he was 12! He lost many jobs and was in and out of the hospital my whole life. 6 years ago I found out that he was in the hospital. He had stopped drinking for a while because the Dr.s told him that the next drink he took would be his last. Well, he decided to take another drink. He fell into a coma and never woke up. I never saw him awake again. I saw his body fall apart and turn yellow, he didn't even look human. I try to tell people of the dangers of drinking but they don't listen, they just think "it wont happen to me".. So, I know how passionately you feel about this. Wonderful lo and I do pray that it reaches someone. :0) God bless you!
Wonderful page.. I used to smoke but quit when i went into the hospital for a surgery in 2003..never picked one up again after i come out of the hospital.. i do know what you go through..My husband has COPD from smoking, he could never seem to quit even though drs gave him medication...he took it and still smoked..well you take care now..this is an awesome layout and testimony...fav
If they have COPD as I do, we are very ill and want to help you help yourself and your loved ones. I have been sicker than I ever have been since Oct 2008.
I had a few good weeks in between. But, A week ago, Monday I got out of the hospital after a really bad COPD exacerbation, lung infection, whatever you want to call it.
The treatment is almost as bad as the disease.
I started this layout as scrap therapy, so I could show anger at my stupidity of my younger days in my own way. When the goal for more layouts came up tonite, I finished as much as I could of it. I had to try one more time. Maybe somebody new will listen.
If I can save one life, what I've been through the last two weeks would be worth it. Well, maybe not the raging effects of the steroid hormones...
