Here is my layout for the Scrap Pack #8
Cardstock - bazzil
Patterned Paper - K & Co

It's hard to tell from the scan but the patterned paper was crinkled and inked with walnut distressing ink. As was the rolodex card.

Here's where everything is:
Flowers - top left corner and bottom right corner of picture
petals - under flower in top left
Envelope - bottom left - was painted black then a coat of crackle medium then antique white on top.
Velvet ribbon was used as a tag on picture to pull up to see hidden journaling and also on tags on the envelope.
Mica- was used over the photos - I used decoupage glue to adhere them. Split the mica in to layers so each picture has one layer over it.
bottle cap - bottom
snaps - one is in the middle of the top flower, one on the title and the last in the rolodex card.
Stamps - used as part of the background.
Photocorners - holding hidden journaling in place
Ribbons - used on tags and also hold the photo to page allowing it to be lifted up to see the journaling
I was missing an oval page pebble and photo mount in my pack - I used a MM photo mount to hold pic in place on the right side and a square page pebble on the hidden journaling (hope that was OK - I could swear I had oval ones but couldn't find them anywhere)
shaped clip - holding envelope to patterned paper

I think that's everything!

Here's what the journaling says (another pic will show what it looks like in my gallery):
This is my Grammy & Papa on their wedding day. Both of them were such warm, loving, caring individuals and I have so many memories that have left me.

Grammy loved Christmas. She would start in January or February buying Christmas gifts and storing them in her shower (they always used the guest bath one instead). By November, her shower would be FULL to the ceiling!  She also loved cooking and taking care of all of us. We always knew to show up at her house with an appetite for if you came and you weren’t hungry, she would immediately think you didn’t like her cooking. Grammy loved spoiling me and that’s exactly what she did – if there was something I wanted, she’d always find a way to get it for me. She always stood up for me as well. I remember one time when I had stopped by her house and locked the keys in the trunk. I was afraid to call my Dad and tell him so….she called a locksmith and a half hour later & $75, the keys were out of my trunk and my father never knew! 

When I think of her the following memories come to mind:
~her cooking meatballs in the kitchen
~Tabu perfume
~hours and hours of Gin Rummy games
~crotcheting afgans
~ making homemade pasta at the kitchen table – she called them hats and they were SO good. I’d love to have a bowl right now! 
~Our dinner and shopping trips – just the two of us

Papa would do anything for us. He was such a loving person. I took care of him during the final months of his life (summer before my junior year). He was so appreciative and I loved having all that time with him. Papa did all the grocery shopping for my grandmother and he would go from store to store to find the best deal in town. His brothers and sisters would come over to visit and they would all yell at each other all night – truly the Italian sign for love!  When I stayed with him and they all came over, it was this amazing sense of belonging and family. I just loved their visits.

When I think of him, I remember:
~Diehard Redsox fan – he’d sit and listen the radio, biting his fingers when they weren’t doing well.
~ I would drive in the front seat of the car with him and Grammy and say move away cars – Papa is coming.
~ Cornflakes with blueberries before he went to bed at night.
~Taking Patrick and I to Green Hill park. He spent hours there with us –first with the animals and then on the rides. Oh how we loved to go there.

I so wish that they would have had the chance to meet my children and my children meet them.

I know though that even though they aren’t with us here on Earth, they are guardian angels for our family.
