Yes, we dyed our Easter eggs the day after Easter this year. I didn't get them boiled until Sunday morning and didn't want to risk being late to Grandma and Grandpa ***'s house for lunch, so we waited until Monday and it was just as fun. We did it the low-stress way, with a disposable cardboard box as a table out in the yard where spills wouldn't matter.
Each of the last 3 years we've picked a different kind of dye. This year's dye one put 2 or 3 drops of dye on an egg in a plastic bag and then rubbed the egg for a kind of tie-dye effect. We quickly figured out it worked best for John to do the drops and Mommy to rub the egg.
We got several pictures like the center one this year. John claimed to be hugging me, but the truth was he was hiding from the camera. He loves looking at photos and scrapbook pages of himself, but has not been a fan of the camera lately. Al stood back with a telephoto lens and shot a total of 164 pictures, only 4 of them posed. Now, that really wasn't so bad, was it, John?
