McBabysMom, I always start with a photo that I love...then I look through my papers and embellishments. The pattern paper pads are 6x8 I think... so I thought they would be great for layering together. I ripped the papers from the pad and placed them on the white cardstock... moving them around. Then I mounted them onto the layout and cut the excess paper off using scissors (from the edge of the paper). This layout was not planned at all... I just move things around when I scrap until it feels right. :) Thank you for liking my work!
I am really inspired by your style. Do you recall what your thought process was in creating this? For instance, did you start with the photo and then pick papers/embellies that went with the photo or just what sparked your creativity? And then once you got going did you choose where you were placing things based on color, texture or just what felt right?
