I printed journalling on vellum and chalked the edges to create a "wavy" feel. I created a frame for my son using blue vellum. I also used vellum to change the color of the tags from white to light blue. The fibers on the tags shifted slightly during scanning.

The journalling reads:

Nicholas' first impression of the ocean was one of wonder and disbelief. He stood there watching the waves coming in and out for such a long time. I really wonder what he could have been thinking about. As the tide began to come in, I could tell he was a little taken aback by the enormity of the waves as they crashed upon the shore. He enjoyed watching the ocean waves coming in and out, but was rather hesitant to enter the water.

Finally, after mustering up every ounce of courage he could, he set forth to explore this vase expanse of water. After setting one foot in the water, he abruptly turned around and ran back to Kevin for safety. He did not like the icy coldness of the Pacific or the surging waves that rushed around his feet! He decided that he was much happier searching for hidden treasure in the sand closer to where his dad and I were sitting.
