recently bought Foofala's cool new Drawer Pulls and tried to think of something fun to make with them. Well, they were drawer pulls, why not make a drawer? Then I got the idea to have the drawer actually pull out and back in - for a fun secret journaling space!
I hand drew the table paper piecing using some brown cardstock and brown zig scroll brush markers and a white get pen for highlighting. Inside the drawer, I printed the title "Six Sisters" in the Amazon font, and listed the names of my sisters and I, and birthdays. I tore the paper and chalked the edges using EK Success brown chalk. I used Daisy D's pretty floral and striped papers to make a "wallpaper" scener, complete with molding made from beige cardstock and chalked for dimension. Then I matted I chose several photos of my sisters and one of our Mother, and I and turned them into sepia in Photoshop and printed different sizes, matted and framed them. I "hung" the largest one on the wall, and the others are placed on the little table that is decorated with a doily from Stampin' up, some stickers from Rebecca Sower Nostalgiques (including a calendar sticker showing the month the photos were taken) and a few extra details like a pearl necklace and small trinkets from a sheet of Fiskars heritage stickers. I used Cutterbee scissors, CM cutting system, Mono Glue and ZOTS adhesive dots.
You can see more photos in the stickersgalore gallery! I posted 4 photos including one with the drawer open
