Blue Butterfly Pop UP Box Birthday Card

This card was inspired by the technique that can be found here:

But mostly Scraphappynicole got me hooked witha pop up box challenge a while back.

They are fun but they can also be a lot more work - especially if you choose to really pack the box. (Yes, even this one still folds up to go inside an envelope.) The problem is that when one of my coworkers saw one that I gave to another person at Christmas, she demanded her own for her birthday - which is coming up this week. Her birthday is a big deal for her, and she is also a pretty good friend so I had to honor her wish. :) And blue is of course her favorite color. I stamped colored the butterflies with colored pencils.

All the die cut flourishes are from the Cottage Cutz Large Leafy Flourish die. The flowers are various.
