I often think how hard life must feel for my two year old. He just doesn't understand why I take the scissors away from him and don't let him stick his fingers in the electrical outlet. I try to remember this when these little meltdowns occur.
Journaling reads: It must be so frustrating in your little world. You constantly try to tell us what you want, and we just can’t understand you. You want to stay out, you have to come in. You don’t want a bath, I put you in anyway. You want to run into traffic, I make you hold my hand. You want your toys all to yourself, I make you share. (Sigh) Some days I think it just gets to be too much.
