I made this for the CK Becky's Sketch column for February 2008. Journaling reads: "El Camino Cielo simply means "The Sky Road" and we happened to come upon it by chance on our way home from a day at the wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley. We couldn't have been luckier. Sure, the road could have used some work, and there were moments when we thought our Saab would fall apart going over some of the pot-holes, but it was well worth it. The views were absolutely breathtaking. As the road winded along the crest of the Santa Ynez Mountains, we were able to to take in amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and the city of Santa Barbara below. The sun was about to set, so we settled in for the show. The colors in the sky were amazing...so vivid and vibrant...pinks and reds. The sky looked like a painting and I discovered for myself why it is called El Camino Cielo - "The Sky Road." TFL!
