August Imperfect Lives Challenge
First of all my dd (5 yrs old) took the pic for me... I took a mirror image of the photo and placed the two next to each other... The b/w is supposed to represent the imperfections (pointed out w/all the arrows) and the color photo represents my attitude about these imperfections and how I don't let them get me down (at least not too often)
Hidden Journaling (below pics): When I look in the mirror, I see many imperfections and areas I would love to change... But I also know that my imperfect body is merely a shell that cannot hide the beautifully strong and confident woman inside.
My flabby arms can carry my 5 and 9 year-old children, which my saggy breasts nourished during their first months of life. Those same breasts do not cause pain or embarrassment while I am using my jumbo thighs, calves and feet to carry me yet another injury free mile down the road in an effort to shrink that poochy belly that bore my favorite children. Yes, these imperfect parts have served me well and given me much joy and I wouldn’t trade the person I have become because of them for the world.
