This was done for the Journal It (Dream Girls Challenge)

Journaling Reads:Hating gym class… Being the last to be picked for teams… Having no strength in my upper body… Being uncoordinated… Not being able to walk (let alone run) a mile without complaining... Not liking vegetables...
Not being able to find a pair of jeans to fit... Being called a beached whale... Having no confidence...
Being shy... Never having a boyfriend...
Being laughed at “behind my back”...
being passed over for jobs and promotions...

Being FAT as a kid sucked!

I had to rely on... my academic success... my love of music... my optimistic disposition... the support of my family... my faith in God... to get me through my teens and early twenties...

Now as I approach my fortieth birthday...

I reflect on those challenges and realize those challenges are what made me who I am today... A caring... sensitive... empathetic... energetic... music loving... masters-degree holding... vegetable eating...
HEALTHY AND STRONG... happily married...
mother of two...who... appreciates everything she has... has run one full and three half marathons... loves to bike... is not afraid to get out on the soccer field with her kids... plays wallyball... lifts weights... loves pilates class... and I realize...

Being FAT as a kid wasn’t so bad after all!

The photo and journaling are printed on vellum and then layered on yellow paper from the Wild Saffron (K and Co.) paper pack. I used staples for my office supply and for the household stamping, I inked the bottom of my running shoe and stamped along the edges of the layout. Thanks for getting me to do this page - I have been wanting to do more pages about myself and have wanted to use this pp for soooooo long!
