SHCG: I love that this LO is "secretly" girly. Very cute, but not so cute that the guys look out of place on the LO. My only suggestion here would be to bring some of the tan from the border into the LO. Possibly as a journaling card or mats for the pictures.
SHCG: What a Fun LO, i cant wait to try a Wii! love the title, colors and the use of multiple pictures. The only change I would make is to mat the photos in either pink or the background green, but I'm thinking pink.
SHCG: Jess, I love this. I agree with one of the previous posters that you did a great job of putting a "girly" feel to this layout without it being oppressive. I would love a thin pink mat on the pictures, just to define them a tiny bit. I love the action shots and I totally dig the linear feel you have here. I like the way that you accented "wii" and "play" by making the font slightly different. I'd like it to go one step further, by either matting it again or making it bigger. If you are pressed for room, you could even change the title to "Wii like to play". This is so much fun and it has totally inspired me to create a wii layout of my own one day. Great job, girlfriend!
SHCG: I love how you turned the word "Wii" into what you needed it to be for your titling. I think your photos would pop out much more if you matted them on this particular layout because the photos are action shots and so busy. The pink or green you used might really work well. Wonderful photos and I am a little jelous that you have a Wii. My husband and I have been trying to find one everywhere with no success.
SHCG: What a great topic to scrap! When I think of the Wii and video games I think of boys, and I like how your lo put a "girly" spin on it. I agree, a picture of the wii would be great on here - either alone or with someone pointing it out in the picture. Another idea, you could matte the word "Wii" but get a pic of the wii and print it on cardstock and cut it out and put the "wii" word in the middle of it. Great job :)
SHCG: I love that you scrapped this! One quick thing, I would define the Wii somewhere so future generations know what it it (as so I find out what it is). I think it's a game system, but not sure, because I don't play games on my tv. Am I right? I would make the Wii pop a bit more and the play. I would maybe include a little pic of it too...you probaly have and I can't identify it. Ok, I should not critique this since I don't know what a wii is......Great LO!
SHCG - Oh what an excellent scrap subject & I LOVE the use of all these pics! I like the overall linear design you've started. I'm thinking that you could emphasize the "Wii" more - you'd want to stress the word because there's that clever double wii/we meaning and because there seems to be a lot of space to the right of it. So maybe add a (handcut?) matte to the word "wii", though once you do that, I'd perhaps like to see a similar matte around "play" too because that's the other important word here, IMO. I like the pretty painting/stamps at the bottom right. I think the bird pp & flowers are unexpected choices here but I believe they work to convey a very fun feeling!! I really like what you have so far here!
SHCG: So cool you scraped these photos! The whole family playing is also very cool! I think you should make the photos B&W and then tilt them a little bit , so the lo have more like play/fun feel to it. I will try to fit the photos and the journaling on the pp with the birds and then at the bottom right ( where the journaling is now and the flowers) try to make the " Wii" bowing down-like they have it on the commercial. If you do the photos B&W, you can ink them with the pink/coral or mat them with the same color. One more idea I have-take the middle top photo out and take a photo of the " Wii" . Can't wait to see the end result!
