My parents raised me to be color blind! My dad's exact words!!! Color of skin does not make the person, nor whether they are short, tall, skinny, fat, white black, asian, indian, rich or poor. It is who they are..it is their character is that defines them.
This was made for a 26 layout challenge about your blackness,My answer to the first is: I classify my coloring as warm caramel, somewhere in between medium and dark brown. I have never struggled with low self-esteem because of my skin color. Thankfully I was never teased about color as a young child. I know depending on where you live kids can pick fun at you. But I grew up doing cultural movement that BLACK IS BEAUTFUL and James Brown singing I’m black and I’m proud, so I’ve always had confidence in my skin tone. I love being a black woman because I am a sassy, creative, loving, intelligent, and strong.
