This is a great LO--love everything about it. AND like another poster I too have 3 tables very similar to the one in your photo--one large and two small. The story was that they came from an old hotel here in town, but antique dealers here have been known to make up personal background stories to help sell items. Congratulations on the wonderful job you did!
Very awesome layout! I love the table in the photo! Actually, I have three of those tables. One is from my mother and the other two I bought at an auction. Not sure what they are called out there in CA but here in VA they are called water tables. The one from my mother is in excellent shape and is very old while the two I bought are old they have had some repairs to them. I guess this is TMI but I was so suprised to see that table in your photo!
Wow really cool vintage layout. I like the tones you used to make it more masculine. the stamping on the background paper is perfect, its visible but not strong enough to take over. It really adds a nice finishing touch to the layout.
My paternal grandfather on the left..aka Papa..pouring a drink for a friend..ca early 1900s Chippie by Blue Fern which I colored with black ink and a rust colored chalk ink I did this for the Swirlydoos Round Robin. My team is supposed to use stamps..which I did but hard to tell the stamps from the pp..I used lots of stamps. The butterfly is part of the pp as are the brown colored designs and the white designs....the clocks and gears and the fancy corner thingies and bricks and splatters are stamps.
