This is a beautiful page. The primary colors are wonderful and really fit the childhood feel. I agree with adding some doodling around the letters and the only suggestion I have is maybe to add another button above the three that are already on there.
This is rad, Jen. I love the colors you chose and the little notions that you included. The story you included is priceless. Your mom did an amazing job, by the look of your buddies that are surrounding you. Speaking of you, what a little cutie pie you are! The only suggestion I could make would be to find a blue colored pen and doodle around the letters in the title: either a faux stitch or dots. I think that would tie the letters together and complement the whole theme. Super job, Jen. This is spectacular!
Aww, Jen this is so sweet. I love the pp & colors you used, as Jess said, you really convey a cozy, warm childhood feeling. Great journaling on lined paper. The buttons really add to the effect of this page. And look at you, you cutey! So happy surrounded by your lovingly made buddies - awesome. Wonderful response to the challenge!
I really love the feeling these pps convey. They give off that childhood warmth. I love the buttons, pp, journaling, picture, everything. How sweet of your mom to make all of these for you? Such a great story behind this picture. I think i'd move that c is for childhood over to the right by the journaling block, probably above it because of the room up there. And I'd maybe ink that pp that's underneath of the picture to make it stand out a bit more than the other pp background. I really do love this, and it's great you scrapped this wonderful memory
This is such a sweet story. What an incredibly thoughtful mom. The colors definitely convey comfy, and your pp picks up on your nightgown. I like the ribbon and the sticker at the bottom of the page, the buttons, the different pps in the letters, and the stitching around the happiness is tab; they're all nice touches. I'm curious to know what is behind the photo under the tab. More journaling? I'd like to see the letters in the title anchored a little bit more. I feel that as it is right now there is too much space around the title and can easily be remedied with a white strip of lace or ricrac at the top.
How adorable is this!! The title, colors everything about his is great. I especially like your journaling and the inking around the journaling is the perfect touch. Glad you enjoyed the challenge!
This is a layout of me as a child surrounded by stuffed animals. The journaling reads: When I was a child I used to love these stuffed animals. Every one of them was hand made for me by my mother. I used to watch her knitting or crocheting and I woud know that what she was making was for me. It was always a special day when my mother would finish a toy and it was "ready" for play.
Thanks for this fun challenge. I really enjoyed revisiting this memory.
