Pics from one of our summer weekend day trips to the beach. Gotta love livin' in California. LOL 12x15 lo. Thanks for peeking!
- The title BEACH is chipboard with the letters cut out from it; the negative space. It was leftover from a different project, so I saved it for another layout cuz I liked the way it looked. I mounted it, along with the smaller pieces that define the "B" and "A" on top of a transparency. Then, I backed it with a texture-look paper.
- All journaling is handwritten on a tag hidden behind the large top photo. Charms were strung on fibers and hang from eyelets set into one side of the tag.
- All solid blue paper was sanded for a distressed look.
- Freehand cut the blue "waves" on the bottom and top right side.
JOURNALING:
"You girls absolutely LOVE the beach! Always curious and happy to ride in the car with both Pappa and Mommy, singing and humming along to random tunes you've heard, excited is an understatement for how you react when you realize where we've arrived. Screaming and giggling, you can't wait for us to release you from the confinement of your car seats. We usually go to Seabright Beach in Aptos to avoid the crowds on a summer weekend. The problem for you is that we can't seem to climb down the stairs fast enough. ha ha ha But once we hit the sand, you grab a shovel and start digging - Wherever! Though we bring a munchkin-size beach bench for you to use, you both seem to prefer Mommy's and Pappa's beach chairs. I guess the larger size of our beach chairs allows for more lounging around. Then again, you don't sit still for very long anyway. There's far too much to see and do in your favorite playground - the beach."
