SHCG: The pink may be an unconventional color for a winter lo, but it does a nice job of keeping our attention on your lo's focal point. I love your snow-covered letters, and your handwriting is not only lovely, but adds a great personal touch. I have two suggestions. I'd switch places between the journaling and the photo so that Allie is facing into the page and emphasizes the sentiment in your journaling. Also, I can see three of your snowflakes peeking out from behind pieces, rather than all of them on top. Simple page, nice work!
SHCG - Fantastic LO, Jen! Love the detailed journaling & that you handwrote it, it looks great. Color combo is way cool too. GuhREAT how you did the snow on the metal letters. This page RAWKS as is!
shcg: Poor Allie! I love the combination of blue and pinks for this winter layout. Have been seeing the combo a lot this year and it works. You handwriting is VERY pretty! You should use it more often. I don't think that there's anything I would change on this -- not even adding another snowflake!
My dog playing in the snow after a large snowstorm last year.
This could very well be the first LO where I've ever used pink!
The letters for SNOW and the snowflakes are metal - I dabbed white paint on the SNOW letters to look like snow gathered on them. The white letters are rubons.
The metal snowflakes are attached with adhesive foam (I wanted to put one more snowflake in the lower left under the journaling but ran out). It's hard to see here, but I added Stickles to the snowflakes on the patterned paper for a bit more shine.
I also did handwritten journaling for a change, mostly because my printer is being stupid - I don't dislike my handwriting, I just don't usually care for the way it looks on a finished LO (the faint pink lines under the wording is vanishing ink - I'm hoping it actually vanishes eventually!)
