This is a pic of my DD with her friend Allie from her sitters.
Journaling reads:
Allie was your first friend that you made all by yourself. When I started taking you to Miss Lynne’s she was the only other girl there and you two didn’t get off to the best start. You were only one and she was three but every morning for the first month when I would walk in she would look at you and just start crying. She was so use to being the only girl that she didn’t want to share her spotlight with you. Shortly after she got use to the idea, and you two became the best of friends. You two were the only girls so you would always get some special attention that all the boys didn’t get, like playing dress up, house, and having Miss Lynne paint your toe’s and finger nails, but most of all you two always had a way to get the boys to do whatever you wanted them to do. Now it’s been three years later and you are three and Allie is five and getting ready to go to school and leave you behind to be the only girl. I don’t think you have fully grasp the idea when this picture was taken, the week that school started, that you were not going to be seeing her everyday and how much you will miss her, but on our way to Miss Lynne’s in the morning you would start to talk about how much you will miss her and start to cry. This only shows that you two really do have a special bond at such an early age, and that you are going to be a wonderful friend in life to have. The good news is that you only have to be apart for one year, because next year you will be going into Kindergarten at the same school as your first real friend.
TFL!!!
