SHCG: Melissa, this looks like such a fun day. The colors really convey the warmth of the day and the cool of the water. Perfect color combination! I love your hand-drawn borders. They rock! The swirls symbolize the waves in the ocean perfectly and really add to the layout. I do you hope that you find a place for the journaling because I know that you would totally rock that. I just love this page and think that you did a fabulous job!
SHCG: I love the stamped swirls. I think the ribbon and charm draw my attention away from the photos a bit. Maybe it's the brightness of the orange. The beach chipboard letters are a nice texture touch and I like the doodled outlines. Great job.
SHCG: I love this! The colors and the design are awesome. I love the fact that you pulled colors from each of your outfits (and that your outfit is a towel). Awesome job on this Melissa.
SHCG: This is such an interesting page. LUV the blue swirls, they remind me of waves. The squares upon squares upon squares layout is very cool. And the photos are great. Is there a story behind all of that sand?
SHCG: I really love the visual aspect of this page, everything is perfectly symmetrical, and it looks great. Love the way you used the ribbon charm in the middle with the crossing ribbon. I really just love the whole design (do I see a scraplift coming my way???) of the two big pictures and two smaller ones with the layering papers. awesome
SHCG: This is a great LO! So much fun and it really makes me crave spring/summer even more! I love the colors and think the doodles are the perfect touch. This was the perfect way to use some really busy, bright pp! Love it!
SHCG: This page looks like it represents a super fun day! I love the colors you chose and the letter you used for "beach". I also love the swirl stamps and was thinking that maybe you could extend them out a little farther on to the patterned paper. The black doodling you used for the photo corners kind of jumps out at me...do you have a white paint sharpie? One of those might work perfect for the corner doodles on this page. Again, this is a beautiful page and looks like a super fun day!
SHCG: Melizza, that picture of you wrapped in the towel is absolutely adorable. Your use of complementary colors is spot on! I love the way you used intersecting ribbons through the buckle; I don't think I've ever seen that on a lo. The pps go very well together, and I love what the swirl stamps add to the page. I also like how the tiny pics look like they might have come from the same pic because of the way you placed them, when they're actually probably two separately clipped pics. The way you placed the letters in the title add interest. I like where you placed the date, as well. You wrote that you'd like to add journaling, but if there are any other summer beach pages, I'd say to save the journaling for those. This page doesn't need it. Once again, your doodles are what make your los so personalized. I like the doodled border, but I think I would've gone white where you went black, or even brown. The first part of the title, I probably would've done in brown, too, or red orange. Other than that, no major suggestions. Just please tell Tia she's got a little sand on her chest.
SHCG - Melissa, I adore this LO! Love the colors, overall design/placement, pp, doodling, photos, everything! How cute are you two! Looks like an excellent day, & you captured your fun so perfectly here. Awesome job, girl!
I'm trying to catch up on some of my LOs for the summer. This is from when me and Tia went to the beach. I can swim like a fish, but I'm scared of ocean creatures and Tia can't swim at all, so it was definately an interesting day. I wanted to add journaling, but couldn't figure out where to put it. I may still later on.
