Cute layout! We used to go to Virginia beach, every other year, for family vacations to visit relatives! I was probably there in '65!! That was my first "ocean" too!

Virginia Beach ~ 1965

I am having so much trouble with my scans this time..sorry for the poor scan. I am enjoying doing a few layouts of my childhood and while the pics aren't always quality, they sure bring back quality memories! We were born in the midwest and didn't see the ocean until we moved to Virginia in early 1965...this was literally the first time we saw the Atlantic Ocean in VA Beach! My Mum said we were busy running around collecting things from the beach...she called to us and we ran to her with our treasures --- cigarette butts! Seems we had seen films of people gathering shells on the beach, but we didn't know what they were collecting! At least we cleaned a section up!
