I made these five turkeys to give to my neighbors (but of course, one stayed home at my house....). They are made from (you guessed it) toilet paper rolls. It took a lot of scrap paper for their feathers, and I used each neighbor's favorite colors during feather selection.
The turkeys' legs and claws were made using pipe cleaners. And, to add a touch of bling, I glittered the toes of each turkey. (No wonder they call me “Glittery”).
More than any other project, this one made me DREAM of having a die machine to mass produce the feathers. I actually couldn't open and close my right hand the day after cutting out all the feathers. But it healed fast, and the smiles on my neighbors faces when I handed them their turkeys made it more than worthwhile!
