Journaling: I think everyone in the world came to Aden’s fourth birthday party. That is what it felt like anyway. It was Aden’s first year of school, and we wanted to invite everyone in his class. Of course his best friends from the neighborhood came, and both sets of grandparents were there. Twenty plus kids and their parents - what were we thinking? Crazy chaos is the term that comes to mind when I remember that day, but everyone had so much fun. Aden didn’t even want to come out of the water for cupcakes or to open his presents. Long after all of the children had gone home, Aden was still splashing and jumping in and out of the pools. At the end of the day, he gave himself a quick rinse off with the hose and finally came inside.
