good heavens!! what an INCREDIBLE feeling... seeing your child enjoy and succeed at something!! and your journaling says that better than anything i've seen lately!!! i loooovvve the way you did this... this verticalness (is that a word?) of this lo just draws your eye up and down the page and makes it feel 12 feet tall!!! JUST perfect for the "visual" of this sport! VERY well done, girl!! VERY well done!

first off, if I were you i'd be bragging like crazy too! he is so talented, girl! is there anything he's NOT good at? really, really LOVE the series of pics and the titling is just perfect!
A simple lo of my son pole vaulting. Ok....be prepared for some major bragging.....I know I'm his Mom, but Skylar really is excellent at this. I was surprised last year when he decided to do this instead of some of his runs, but thought "well, if that is really what he wants to do". He truly showed that this was 'his thing'. He soon started breaking the schools records....in ONE season! This year.....once he got started...long story....the varsity coach ( mind you, Skylar is only in 8th grade) saw what he could do and approached Skylar to come practice with the Varsity team!! Many evenings ended up being spent with Skylar having one on one coaching from the Varsity coach. He ended the season successfully and reached amazing heights. At the last meet he competed against a 6 ft tall 16 yr old (Skylar is 5 ft, 14 yrs.) all the way to the end. Skylar just couldn't make his opponent's highest vault......but oh was he ever soooo close. In this lo it looks like he is hitting the bar but he actually clears it by a lot, the 3rd pic just doesn't show how far out away he is from the bar. Yep....I'm proud of him!!! Journaling: My high - watching you. Your high - pole vaulting.
