Sounds like such a wonderful campground - so sorry it's closed, that would have been so nice to take your kids there. Hopefully you'll be able to find someplace new and just as nice.
Loved your journaling - such a great memory to scrap for you BOM.
Wonderful lo! I love that you kept the embellishments simple to let the journaling be the star. I like the idea of this layout too. Our own childhood memories are so important to share with our kids.
your journaling rocks! hey can you move acres in the center or put something after it? it looks a little odd with all the negative space behind it. love the note book paper to give it a feel of you journaling your thoughts
One for my bom, though maybe it belongs in my family album. Not sure. Journaling reads: As Brad has just gone to retrieve his camper trailer from his uncle’s house, I was thinking how great it would be to take the kids to Shenandoah Acres. I have such fond memories of going there as a child. And so I dug out this photo that I remember seeing. This was our camp site one year. Which year, I’m not sure; possibly anytime from 1973 to 1977. This was a wonderful campground with a large lake that had sandy beaches and a large slide in the middle of it. My parents would rent a bike for me and one year my dad and I even went on a guided horseback ride. So I thought, wouldn’t it be great to take my own kids there. Unfortunately, I discovered that it closed in 2004. I’m hoping though that we’ll be able to find a place just as fun and memorable to take our kids to.
