After doing my last lo about all the concerts I've been to, I decided I really needed to do this one as well. It's a great walk down memory lane. I had to scan my ticket because I had autographs on both sides. And I got the pic of the band off the internet. TFL!
Journaling reads:
I went to this show with Joey, my friend Rich, and my roommate, Sue. Joey was acting a little strange, and when we entered the Coliseum told us to hold on a minute and he walked off. When he came back, he handed us each a backstage pass and a Snake Pit pass.

So how did he get them? Apparently, Metallica's crew had called Domino's Pizza just after closing the night before. Joey had answered the phone and told them he'd just shut off the oven. They begged, and he asked what they'd give him if he turned the ovens back on and delivered them some pizzas. He didn't tell us about it because he didn't want to believe it until he saw it.

Now the Snake Pit was a mosh pit set in the center of the band's triangular stage. It was an awesome place to watch the show from! Though at some point they wouldn't let us leave and come back, and Joey got caught on the wrong side of gate.

After the show, we went to the backstage area and waited with dozens of other people. It was at least an hour before the band showed up. They spread out all over the room and 4 separate lines popped up to meet them and get autographs. My memorable moment there was meeting Lars Ulrich, the drummer, only because he was nice to me and actually looked at me like he saw me. Definitely the most memorable show I ever went to.
