Perfection!!! I love all the 'love' that you put into this lo. It shows in every wonderful detail. What a wonderful idea to use her costume jewlery. Quite a lovely lo and tribute.
Love this! I've been wanting to do a similar layout on my Nanny, but just haven't "tackled" it yet. This is certainly inspiring to get it done! GREAT layout!
Gorgeous. I have a lot of my grandma's costume jewelry too and have also included them on layouts of her. It adds such a meaning to the layout, doesn't it?
Your grandma is beautiful, Cindy. I love the colors you used for the layout -- suggestive of one striking, strong lady? I LOVE the title treatment right on the pocket. Perfection. Into my faves.
What an absolutely gorgeous page, and the thought that went into it shows. Beautiful page and I'm sure your Grandma would love it too. So glad this helped you with your loss. Beautiful page.
Beautiful! The therapy behind it is priceless for you. You inspire me to become a scrapper with SOUL! I don't think I have come to the point where I can do this myself for my dad, but when I am ready I have a great reference point.
I love the color and use of meaningful embelishments! Thanks for the great layout.
This is the most wonderful lo, what a lovely tribute, I am sure she is smiling down upon you and loving the lo. I particularly like the Christmas cards she send you and how you included them. That pocket you made with the word "Soul" is wonderful, is that your own handwriting? What a wonderful job!!!
O my God, this is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! You are an incredibly talented artist, but this is your best work yet! She even looks like a wonderful lady! Thank you for sharing and God bless you in your healing process!
oh....I just love this...I love every hearfelt thing about this! It's so wonderful! I love how you used her jewelry and the cards...it's just so amazing! thankyou so much for sharing this. It's so special
oh cindy....what a wonderful tribute to you grandmother...this is such a special lo. the embellishments, every single element on this lo was added with so much care and thought, and each holds a special memory and significance....which makes this lo that much more stunning. You rock my dear.
This is by far one of my most favorite paper layouts I've done. I've been wanting to do a layout for my Grandma Mary Jane since she passed away and finally felt this was the time to do it.
With this layout I incorporated some of the costume jewelry I inherited from her (bracelet and earrings...aren't the babies sweet?) and included the last couple of Christmas cards I received from her.
The whole process was so healing. I felt her smile upon me every moment I spent honoring her.
Love you Grandma. You are still alive and loved in my heart.
