This year, after moving house and the bills it has developed in the process I've been short on money... So when mothers day came around and I saw my sister buying my mum nice gifts, I felt bad - as I didn't have much to offer but my love and this card. My feelings soon changed though when I saw the look on her face when I gave it to her and read what I had written on the inside...

Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.

I turned it into a three way card (made from 12X12), used mulberry paper, and a purple flower that I got while in Wanganui one weekend (saving it so something special) and the colourful flower in the centre I got off a poster a friend of mine made for my birthday one year, (I had to down size it to make it fit in my room - and so I'm recycling some of the flowers she put on it!)
