Journalling Reads:
NO STONES UP YOUR NOSE
October 22, 2005
You came up to me asking for help. You kept on saying “Nose”. I finally looked and saw something up there. Frantically, I’m trying to figure out how to get it out – without further upsetting you. Pushing down on your nose didn’t work so I decided to try tweezers, which didn’t work at first. So, I called Dad home from work and then went back to the tweezers. As he walked in, the stone finally fell out. About 15 minutes of agony that we went through.

NO CRAYONS IN YOUR POCKET
October 28/29, 2005
The prior week, I caught you sticking crayons in your pockets. Each time, I removed them and asked you not to do that. On the night of October 28th, I did a load of your laundry. While removing your laundry from the dryer the following morning, I found crayons and marks all over your clothes and the dryer. I was not happy.

NO HAIRCUTS FROM YOUR SISTER
October 30, 2005
I’m putting the final touches on your “Three Little Pigs” costumes. At first, you were watching – but then all three of you went of to play. At least that’s what I thought. All of a sudden, you ran up to me and said “Mom, look, Nicole cut hair”. I jumped off my seat to get the scissors and scold her.

These eight days in October were stressful. Now, I think back and it brings a smile and laughter. There is only one you – and I love you!
