Wow Fran, this is a card? I really thought it was an altered frame at first glance. You did an amazing job on this! Your former SIL is going to just love it! I really love it's soft color palette and all of it's feminine details. So very pretty!
what a beautiful card and nice gift to your sil. Getting older is a challenge. I try to remember what my dear sis once told me, "I try to age with grace". It's so nice to see you again...thanks for sharing your work and stopping by my place. Take good care til mid-march....Stef.
Super beautiful! Love the slider with the sheer ribbon, and all the lace and punching! She might be feeling a little blue over being a senior citizen, but she will be just peachy after seeing this beauty! What a great friend you are~
Awww Fran this is just so pretty.. What a touching card and just so feminine. You can see the love that went into this for your friend. With all the wonderful memories inside and such a beautiful card on the outside it will sure to cheer her up!!
This is such a beautiful and sentimental card. I love the photo of Aunt Kay (I don't consider her an "ex"). The rhinestone-look slider is so pretty, as is the sheer ribbon, lace, and embossing. I think she'll love this gesture!
what a lovely card Fran. so pretty, frilly and feminine. Love that you "rescued" the bits of ribbon - they are perfect for this card. Great punchwork too.
My last post until mid-March. An accordion card for my X-SIL, the mother of my niece, and dear friend from my youth. Becoming a "Senior Citizen" has brought her some mental challenges so I thought I would poke a little fun and cheer her up. The details inside the card recalls happy moments from our youthful past. I made the little flower, punched the frame - on the inside, I used pre-cut dies and bits of ribbon, rescued from the land fill as they were leftovers from past projects. Thanks to my scrappy friend, Debby Westbrook, for giving me inspiration for the accordion card...... and thanks to all who leave a comment for me. Much appreciated.
