Hidden Journaling:
Memories……..

When I was a young child, most of our summers were spent at the home of my mother’s parents in Northbrook, IL. My time there was spent surrounded by the extended family and most specifically with my grandmother, who took charge of me.

My grandparents had a home on 5 acres and I spent my time exploring and playing. My grandfather loved to garden, so there were flower beds, but mostly it was lawn, trees and shrubs……a wonderful place to run, jump rope, and fly kites.

I very vaguely remember this picture being taken. It was one warm summer’s evening after my bath. My grandma had piled my hair up on top of my head, and put me in my lacy robe. I was all ready for bed. I was so little at the time, but felt very grown up.
