I found those wooden stars at Goodwill for a quarter! There were half a dozen in a pack so I still have some left. They were blank wood so I drew the flag on them with markers, and did the heart stencils to match on the other corners.
I think I'm going to repeat this layout in my own scrapbook for the fourth of July, without the American boy part of course. :)
