Journaling: People don't use manners too much anymore. It really is a lost art. One manner I think people use the least is saying "thank you." Sadly, we just don't let others know how much we appreciate them and the things they do. I want to be sure Abby understands the importance of thanking those who do special things for her. Every Christmas she and I sit down and write thank you notes for all the gifts we have received. Abby takes it to a new height by drawing pictures of her memories with them. She loves to draw and her attention to detail is amazing. This past year I realized I mail these notes off, and I may never get to see these sweet little pictures again. So i knew I had to make my own personal copy of them. I hope the recipients enjoy them as much as I do. I especially hope that Abby grows up making a habit of the fine art of appreciation.
