That is one of the most touching layouts I have ever seen! The journaling brought tears to my eyes and touched my heart! You should be very proud.....of your work and more importantly, your beautiful daughter! Awesome!
Journaling reads: "they say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, & looking at you here, it must be true. of your many passions, there are two things you love above all, two people you can't help but tell the world about... your little brother & your Jesus. whether it's telling the postman about Zach when he's only asked about you, or telling Tyson that Jesus loves him, when he feels as though no one else does- your light shines brightest when their names dance across your lips... and so do your eyes. And here, shining in those amazing eyes are the tiny reflectiosn of the church across the street from our house & your little brother riding his bike... & spreading across your face is the sweet smile that so often accompanies thoughs of your two main men..."
I am totally captivated by this picture of my daughter because you can literally see a reflection of the church and her little brother in those bright, shining eyes. Out of that detail, the entire concept of this layout grew :)
The effect on the monogram letters was achieved by painting them yellow first, then using a lotion resist technique adding the purple only to the edges. UTEE was melted in several layers, but on the last layer I prevented some of it from completely melting for the added texture & shine. The sun was handcut and the pleated ribbon created with staples :)
