Let me introduce you to the two newest members of our family. On November 12, 2019, our son Joshua and his wife Nichole adopted these two beautiful children. From the time Joshua and Nichole decided to be foster parents I prayed that God would send "the child or children" that they could adopt. This was partly because they were both in their mid-30's but mostly because I didn't think they could handle the emotional yo-yo of taking in children and then having to let them go. These two precious babies came from a really bad situation and now they have two parents, several uncles and aunts, cousins and two sets of grandparents who love them very much :) In these photos (taken early spring 2019) they were 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 years old.

Journaling reads: In January, Joshua and Nichole opened their home and their hearts to take in this foster brother and sister pair. It has not always been an easy task for them, I’m sure. They have had a total change in lifestyle, going from no kids to two toddlers. As with most foster kids, these two came with their own unique problems. I am so proud of Joshua and Nichole and their perseverance through some really tough days. During the past six months, we have seen so much growth in these two precious children. They are both talking so much better, just about potty trained and the hard days are getting fewer. They are now pursuing adoption and I am so happy for them. Trey and Taylor have brought so much joy to all of us and we have fallen in love with them. Thank you Lord for answered prayers… July 10, 2019

The Dr. Seuss quote on the heart reads: "Unless someone cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not!"

I wanted to keep this page very simple to keep the focus on the subject. The heart was drawn by hand and cut, with a little bow of gingham ribbon tied around it. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
