That is a good photo of mama. I had forgotten that David was a photographer. The papers are perfect for this layout and you really did a lot of stitching! Really pretty layout!
Gorgeous page! What an amazing photo of your beautiful Mama! You created the stunning tribute to your mother! Love absolutely everything about this LO!
So pretty, your paper choices are fantastic, like the color of the frame around the precious photo of your Mom. The circle with the flower cluster looks so pretty too!!
Journaling reads: This is my mama, Ruth Pace Perdue, around 1975 at age 50. Your Aunt Kathy’s brother David was a photographer and he came down to take some family photos. On the back of this photo Mama had written “Me modeling for David”. This dress wasn’t at all Mama’s style; she never wore anything with such a low neckline (see the tan lines around her neck). The dress looked good but the smile on her face was beautiful. She was “a model mother” in more ways than one…
I cut the edges of the cream paper with Fiskars Victorian scissors and then added dots all around with a Zig pen - orchid. Then I added the three vertical strips of pp and the two horizontal strips under the photo. The pink strip was cut with decorative scissors, too. Next I punched a double circle of holes and added the stitching in two shades of green DMC. Lastly, I added the photo, the acetate flowers and the journal block. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
